Am I Being Too Hard on Corporations?

I have a confession to make. Actually, I have a couple of them to make. First, I wrote my recent post about how lifestyle design isn’t for everyone out of frustration. I like the way it turned out (and maybe I should channel emotion when writing more often), but that leads me to my second confession.

When my wife read the post, she pointed out that it was lacking a little balance. I referred to how society teaches us to become corporate drones. She thought that it might come off as though I have some problem with people who work for corporations.

OK, OK, I Give. Lifestyle Design is not for Everybody

I’ve said before that I thought at least some of the principles of Lifestyle Design could be used by anybody. Questioning the predominant work ethic that teaches us to become corporate drones, working 40-60 hours or more every week for someone else while living for the weekends and a few weeks of vacation every year seemed like something everyone could do.

Boy, was I wrong about that.

Back Home in San Francisco + Site Update

After 7 months on the road, we finally returned home to San Francisco yesterday. In those 7 months, we covered over 10,000 miles throughout western Mexico, Canada and the United States, and we slept in over 23 different locations.

It was a life changing trip, but we’re also really glad to be home again finally.
