How I Dropped the Ball (and How Chris Guillebeau is Going to Bail Me Out)

Hey everybody and greetings from sunny and beautiful Mexico once again. Life is grand, but I have a little something to confess today.

A few months ago, I sat down and established a bunch of goals for this blog. The due date for one of those big goals is fast approaching on February 1st. My goal by then was to start selling a product through the blog.

The only problem is, I haven’t yet completed my own first product to sell. That’s where Chris Guillebeau comes in to bail me out.

Site Update: Hello from Mexico, Special Offer and New Projects

We arrived this week in the beautiful Costalegre (the “Happy Coast”) on the Mexican Pacific. Life is grand down here, and pretty much what we remember from last year. Sun, surf, good food and great people all abound.

The picture to the right is one I shot yesterday from the balcony of our apartment. We’re beachfront and loving it. The only thing missing is a solid internet connection in the apartment. Hopefully I’ll work that out in the next few days.

The Pros and Cons of Long-term Travel (an Honest Assessment)

Long-Term TravelI’m in the middle of packing for a 2-3 month trip to Mexico, which has me thinking a lot about the good and bad aspects of long-term travel. If you’ve thought about doing some extended travel, I thought you might appreciate an honest assessment of both positives and negatives.

This time around, things will be a little easier for us, since we spent 7 months traveling last year. We’re also headed back to a place we’ve already been to, which requires less research and planning than going somewhere completely new.
